Home Automation

The next decade will be a revolution in the field of Home Automation. Energy and Cost Savings will be the driving force. The next factor will be Safety and Security. From there, convenience, aesthetics and integration of services will be other factors.

The design of a system of this kind should always begin with a Licensed Electrician. Given the fact that most systems will need some type of cabling, it is logical to use an entity that is licensed and equip to do so. Many customers assume that calling an Audio/Video company is the first place to start on their search for Home Automation. This is the reverse of what you should do. By using a Home Automation company that is also a licensed and insured electrician, you are starting out on a secure foundation.

After design and installation comes programming. Our programmers are on staff and have been since 1997. They come from the computer world. Configuring and programming Home Automation Systems consists of a wide range of computer skills. Each system, whether it be HAI, Control 4, Lutron, Crestron, RTI, Universal Remote, Elan, Niles, Russound, etc….., have their own proprietary software and communications protocols that need to be mastered. Working in the computer world for this length of time has given our technicians the ability to work with each system well.

Remember a Home Automation System is only as good as it’s design, installation and programming. If each of these steps is not done properly, the end-user will not get the full benefit from the system.
